Creative Shoot!

I did a creative shoot on Tuesday with Danielle and a brilliant make up artist called Leah Mabe.
I am so suprised we fit everything in! We went to the birdcage location then off to the beach, I have ALWAYS wanted to shoot at a beach, probably because I live in the centre of England and probably the furthest away from one than most people in the UK.

BTW (due to comments I recieved I will say that this birdcage was by
Rawley Clay (I didn't know the exact name previously) and is located in Danielle's hometown, Wales. I didn't want to share the exact location due to it taking us ages to get around to doing the shoot, we wanted it to be very original and I had the feeling people would jump to the chance to try and shoot there after we spent so long arranging!

As I said, I did more behind the scenes this time.. here's a few from the day..

when we first got there, danielle getting in the cage (it didn't have a door so we used plan B LOL).. The other girl is the make up artist, Leah who was super helpful throughout the day too..

And sorry Danielle but I just had to post this, this cracked me up.. It was absolutely FREEZING so she took along her boyfriend's dressing gown. Don't let the sunny skies fool you..

We had to pass clothes/props through the birdcage...

where on earth did you get a cage like that?

like Hunter said, WHERE did you find that cage? Do they just randomly sit around the English countryside? :)

Great pictures. Very different to your normal work. Excellent.

Great location- wish they had randomly interesting bits like that where I'm from! And the makeup and wardrobe looks superb- really helps add to the photos. And of course- the one of Danielle getting into the cage is quite amusing, good thing you have such willing models to work with! :)

I love the one of her climbing up into the cage! That's just so funny. Sometimes people don't think about the things models do for a good shoot!

Thanks Lara, it is great to see behind the scenes, it makes it more real, and more amusing. it also really puts into perspective how much work you put into your shoots (though i had my suspicions already!!) look forward to more.

I have to admit this is hilarious! You guys are real troopers though, passing the clothing in and then I guess danielle had to change in there. You deserve what you got though...some lovely images! I'm from California, so I guess I am a little spoiled, but I visit England in April and it was absolutely FREEZING! I had never seen snow before in my life! So I have no idea how poor danielle wore that outfit in February!
